There was just one-half of a second separating the top four times in team roping at the sixth performance of the Heartland ProRodeo Championships on Wednesday night. The tandem event saw Luke Brown from Rock Hill, S.C., and Martin Lucero, Stephenville, Texas, at the top of the leader board with a 4.9 second run. Brown and Lucero are headed to the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (WNFR) in December and are hoping that this rodeo starts momentum that keeps rolling through all ten rounds in Las Vegas. Garrett Tonozzi and Kinney Harrell were next in line at 5.0 seconds. Tonozzi, from Fruita, Colo., did the heading while Harrell, who lives in Marshall, Texas, cleaned up in the heeling. Texans Justin Lovell and Mickey Gomez finished third with a 5.3 and Tommy Edens and Justin Hendrick finished fourth with 5.4.
