Steve Kenyon announced his first rodeo more
than 20 years ago...
Since then he's stepped behind the microphone at
hundreds of rodeos and announced thousands of
performances.
When Steve comes to your rodeo, he brings some
simple philosophies with him...
Keep it Fun...
Keep the Fans Involved...
Make sure Everybody Knows who the Contestants
Are...
Make sure the sponsors get the recognition they
deserve...
Steve has developed a reputation as an announcer
who is easy to work with, as an announcer who
gets along well with clowns and specialty
performers, as an announcer who is great with
sponsors and as an announcer who knows the
contestants and knows how to tell their stories
to the fans.
Steve has a Bachelor's Degree in Communications
with an emphasis on journalism. As a writer for
several rodeo publications and the host of Rodeo
Profiles Steve covers the sport of rodeo on a
daily basis, giving him a unique insight to
share with your fans.
Of the more than 40 events Steve announces each
year, he's been returning to several of the for
years. In 2007 he will announce his 15th
Eastern Oregon Livestock Show in Union, Oregon.
He's become a fixture in Flagstaff, AZ,
Livingston, MT, Elgin, OR, Longview, WA,
Othello, WA, Clear Lake, SD, and at several
other events across the western United States.
Among the highlights for Steve -
The Columbia River Circuit Finals, 2001 - 2004 -
2005 - and 2008
The Turquoise Circuit Finals, 2003
Selected as the alternate for the Dodge National
Circuit Finals, 2005 and 2008.
This year Steve also became a member of the
Canadian Professional Rodeo Association for the
first time, enjoying a terrific trip to
Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada last April.
Steve recognizes that sound and music are
essential to any rodeo, and he can put you in
touch with the best sound and music people in
the business today.
