The 2007
Columbia River Circuit Schedule is about to
begin.
The race for the 2007 Columbia River Circuit
Finals begins May 4-6 in Salem .
With 37 rodeos crammed into five months prior to
the Dodge Columbia River Circuit Finals Rodeo
November 16-18 in Redmond , Oregon , the
Columbia River Circuit is a popular destination
for PRCA members during the summertime,
especially during the run that begins over the
Fourth of July and ends in mid September with
the Pendleton Round-Up. A major difference this
year lies in the change of the structure of the
PRCA’s Wrangler Pro Rodeo Tour, which will end
at the beginning of August in Dodge City ,
Kansas . Last year’s Tour included Hermiston,
Ellensburg, Puyallup and Pendleton. This year
only Puyallup is a part of the Tour, as the
Tour’s second playoff rodeo prior to the finals
in Omaha and Dallas.
The Salem Rodeo will be held for the second
straight year in the new Pavilion Building at
the Oregon State Fairgrounds. The weekend event
features a two day, three performance PRCA/PWBR
sanctioned rodeo on Saturday and Sunday, and
kicks off Friday, May 4 with the 15th
anniversary Salem Super Bulls.
Super bulls will feature a 40 head bull riding
with a top ten short round. The entry fee is
$125 for the $2,000 added event. Entries are
being taken April 16-20 from 7 PM to 9 PM, entry
fee’s must be received by 5 PM on April 30. Bull
riders can enter by calling (541) 571-4462 April
16-20 from 7 to 9 PM. Entry fees need to be
mailed to the Salem Rodeo, P.O. Box 733 , Salem
, OR 97308 .

After Salem the second rodeo of the year in the
circuit is the Great Northwest Pro Rodeo in

this year in the Columbia River Circuit, the
100th anniversary of the Eastern Oregon
Livestock Show will take place June 8-10 at the
stock show grounds in Union .
