Rodeo Houston, Bobby Mote had plenty to
celebrate"
2002 World Bareback Riding Champion Bobby Mote
from Oregon won more than $60,000 in about four
days, including the $50,000 he won March 17 when
he rode Calgary's Coconut Roll for 89,5 points
to win the championship at RodeoHouston.
"That was the second time I had her down there.
The first time I think I was 87 or 88, if they
would have let me pick a horse for the
championship round she would have been the one I
would have picked."
Mote also won a go-round at the Dodge National
Circuit Finals, but even with all the money his
biggest celebration was back home in Culver,
Oregon.
"We had a little boy March 9, his name is Trey.
I would have to dig pretty deep to find anything
to complain about right now," Mote said. They
baby is the third child of Mote and his wife
Kate.
