Summarizing the Tour Finale from Dallas...

Every year the Wrangler Pro Rodeo Tour Championship in Dallas on the final weekend of the season gives a handful of PRCA and WPRA members a chance to climb from out of the top 15 into the NFR.

Two bullriders, a team of team ropers, a tie down roper, and the top money winner among active WPRA barrel racers took advantage of that chance this year.

Fred Boettcher from Wisconsin jumped from number 22 to number 15 when he won the Finale Title and more than $12,000, competing in Dallas after both World Standings leader Matt Austin and alternate Wesley Silcox had to step away because of injuries. DJ Domangue from Texas actually won more money than Boettcher, more than $19,000. He will head to Las Vegas ninth in the PRCA's bullriding standings when the Wrangler National Finals gets underway November 30.

Sherry Cervi from Marana, AZ won the barrel race in Dallas. The two time world champion's first place paycheck in Dallas moved her from 17th to tenth in the WPRA and will get her to her 11th WNFR.

Team Ropers Chad Masters from Tennessee and Cole Bigsbee from Texas and Tie Down Roper Cade Swor from Texas earned a trip to the WNFR with their performances in Dallas. Speed Williams and Clay O'Brien Cooper won the team roping, Blair Burk won the tie-down roping. Burk actually set an arena record in the championship round with a 6.6 second time.

The rest of the winners in Dallas - Bareback Rider Will Lowe from Texas who leads the world standings. Bronc Rider Chad Ferley from South Dakota who is within $2,500 of the World Standings lead, and Steer Wrestler Dean Gorsuch from Nebraska, who extended his lead in the world standings to more than $20,000.

The Wrangler National Finals gets underway November 30, we hope you'll listen to our live coverage on the ProRodeo Radio Network.
