Tie Down Roper Brad Goodrich from Hermiston, Oregon makes no bones about his position with one month left in the season.

"Hell Yeah" Goodrich said when asked if Dallas holds the key to his hopes for a 7th trip to the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo this year.

Goodrich was 22nd in the PRCA's tie down roping standings on October 3, with just under $43,000 in 2006 earnings.

"It's going to take $60,000 to make the NFR, maybe $61,000. I have to look at it like I'm $17,000 out right now. It's going to be a long shot but the way I look at it is I've got 5 rodeos left. I'll go to Waco, Billings, Fort Collins, Kansas City and then to Dallas. I would like to win $7,000 between now and Dallas, go in there with about $50,000 and then see if I can get the rest there."

Goodrich won about $1,700 in Omaha.

"I roped decent, won a little bit. I placed on my first one and then missed the barrier on the second one. I did make it back to the semi final round and had a good chance but my rope did a figure 8 on my calf's tail. I was a 9 in a 7 second round and that kept me from getting back to the top four."
